The part of The Lady of The Lake is her most memorable breakthrough, bringing an award for her performance, an award called the Tony Award in addition to critical acclaim for her role. In the following year, when she was Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy for ABC her role was given greater appreciation. A singer by profession, she's also produced songs as well as an extensive work. She has also spoken out in support of LGBT concerns.
