Andra Day and Andi Matichak

Cassandra Monique Batie, professionally known as Andra day is an American R&B singer-songwriter. The singer has received many awards, such as an Grammy Award a Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award along with nominations for an Academy Award. Andra Day, an accomplished artist and songwriter, with a strong background in blues, gospel and gospel with a love of the current world. She is much not just an R&B throwback specialist. Her ability to blend her jazz influences with gospel, and blues into the R&B genre is remarkable. The debut of her album Cheers to the Fall (2015) she climbed in to the Top Ten R&B/hip hop charts and earned a few Grammy nominations. In 2017, her contribution to Marshall's soundtrack was also recognized with the Academy Award. Andra, born Cassandra Monique Batie of Edmonds Washington grew to be the resident of San Diego and metropolitan San Diego in which she went to school and performed in her church. As she grew up, Day listened to contemporary R&B music, and later pop. However, her heart was always drawn to classical soul and jazz vocalists. Kai Millard Morris recorded a concert of Day which she later shared with her husband Stevie Wonder some of Day's material. Motown legend Adrian Gurvitz was introduced to Day by the Motown legend. Day's following on YouTube increased fast after she formed a team along with Gurvitz, Jeffrey Evans and Buskin. She later signed a major label deal to Warner Bros. It was quickly picked up by DJs, who started playing it on the radio. After that, she joined Warner Bros. Records and started working with producer Adrian Gurvitz to record her debut album Cheers to the Autumn (2015). It featured the track Rise Up which has become an international anthem of social justice movements. Day was awarded two Grammy nominations, including Best R&B Album. The United States Versus Billie Holiday is her second album that was released in the year 2019 and it was a concept album about Billie Holiday's life. The United States against Billie Holiday was released in 2021. It was the same year in which she was also featured in the film Holiday. Andi matichak (born August 25, 1970) is an American actor. Her career began in TV series like Orange Is the New Black, 666 Park Avenue and Blue Bloods. Her debut in film was in the role of Allyson in the horror series Halloween. Andi is an American actor who was born in Framingham on the 3rd of May 1994.
